One-Chester is developed and operated by Loyalty Pro, who have been developing IT solutions primarily for the hospitality sector since 2006. Loyalty Pro started as a spin off from Deeside based Pro-Networks and became a fully independent Chester based company back in 2017,
We rolled out our trial community scheme in Hoole using plastic loyalty cards in 2016 and developed the option for people to use an app instead in 2017. So it’s been a long road (full of potholes) to get to where we are now with One-Chester.

I’m a software developer by trade, although these days I leave most of that to James. My working days are spent managing projects and client accounts but also getting out and about in the city talking to businesses about One-Chester.
I rocked up in Chester in the late 1980’s. Having come up for an interview I was blown away by city itself and the friendliness of the people I met, so I chose the job here rather than a bigger bucks one in the South East and I don’t regret it!
I’m passionate about helping the city evolve and succeed in the digital world whilst maintaining its unique architecture and heritage. I’ve lived in Westminster Park, Handbridge and Great Broughton over the years and so I’m keen to see the suburbs thrive too.
The best thing about Chester: One of the many great things about the city is its walkability, you can get around all the sights on foot and take your dogs with you too.
Favourite local places: The river bank and the meadows for a lunchtime stroll. The city walls, cafes and rows for people watching and the new Chester market for the buzz.
Other Habitats: Anglesey and Algarve Coastal paths, Golf courses, Tennis courts, Cricket grounds and Pub gardens.

I’m the Graphic Designer. My days are spent designing all things One-Chester and occasionally uploading/updating listings to the app.
I studied graphic design at the University of Chester and, since graduating in 2019, I’ve continued to work here. I was fortunate to secure a job after my work-based learning placement at the RIC, allowing me to stay in this beautiful city and pursue my passion for design.
The Best Thing About Chester: What I love most about Chester is its beauty and convenience. Everything is close by, making it easy to get around. Plus, there’s always something new and interesting to discover.
Favourite Local Places: I love spending time by the river, walking along the ancient city walls, and exploring the unlimited choice of charming cafes.
Other Habitats: When I’m not working, you’ll often find me at the gym or CrossFit sessions, swimming at the pool, or jetting off to new destinations.

Originally from Salisbury, I graduated Bangor University with a degree in Information Communications Technology in 2013 and began working for Rob in the Applications Development department in 2014 as an Operations Administrator. The job started off with supporting our legacy tablet equipment, but over the years our development focus shifted towards Mobile and Web applications.
These days I’m the Technical Director, responsible for the development and management of the customer facing mobile applications. I took over the development of the community app some years back and I’ve been enhancing it ever since.
I live in Ellesmere Port, but Chester is my go-to city. Lunch breaks are spent walking the walls or the River Dee. In Winter I always visit the Christmas markets, and I’ve frequented quite a few of the Chester Race days. The blend of history in the city is second-to-none, and I’ve never come across a city with as much character.
The best thing about Chester: the visible histories of the city.
Favourite local places: The River Dee bank and the Roman gardens.
Other habitats: Army Reserve training grounds, Hill running courses and Gaming conventions.

Whilst working towards my degree, I have spent over a year working behind the scenes on the One-Chester app, handling everything from data entry to managing the social media accounts, which is now my day-to-day. My days at work are spent roaming Chester to gather content, producing blog posts and news articles, and a lot of editing.
Being relatively new to Chester, I have only recently begun to get to know the city intimately, which is why I have enjoyed working on the One-Chester app.
My passions are copywriting and content creation, which I think will help the app prosper as the city changes with the expansion of the digital world.
The best thing about Chester: It’s a photogenic city with iconic views that make it unique. I also love the Chester rows as I can move from shop to shop without getting wet!
Favourite Local Places: the cities Coffee shops and beer gardens, plus the Grosvenor Park where I get my daily steps in.
Other Habitats: When I’m not in Chester, you can find me at the Trafford Centre spending all of my money on new outfits, or in Amsterdam, where I go to escape when I need a break!
